Andrew Bagley has been involved in education nearly all his life. After graduating from Barton High School, Bagley graduated magna cum laude from Ouachita Baptist University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History. Bagley subsequently earned a Master of Arts degree in Political Science from Baylor University. He also completed additional graduate work from Louisiana State University and Harding University.
Bagley also held teaching positions in the public schools in Elaine and in Helena-West Helena. He also is a charter member of the faculty of the University of Arkansas System eVersity, where he has developed and taught a U. S. Government and Society course.
He has served the Helena-West Helena Booster Club for over a decade as the Secretary of the Board of Directors. Bagley has been the play-by-play Voice of the Cougars for football for 11 years and for basketball for the past four years. For the past three years, Bagley has been honored to serve as the President of the Advisory School Board for the Helena-West Helena School District and as a leader of the efforts that have directed the district back to community control and financial strength.
