The Helena-West Helena Booster Club and Delta Force 3 Radio Network will continue their partnership to broadcast Helena-West Helena Central High School Cougar Football games in the 2017 football season.

School Board President Andrew Bagley, who also serves as the secretary of the H-WH Booster Club board of directors, announced the continuing agreement with Delta Force 3 CEO Raymond Simes.  Simes, who graduated from Central High School in 1973 and has operated the network since it began with the formation of KCLT-FM in the 1980s said, “Delta Force 3 is proud to continue to be the home of CHS Cougar Sports and is a proud supporter of the Helena-West Helena School District.  We look forward to bringing an exciting broadcast to our listeners each Friday night and wish Coach Russell Smith and the team the best of luck during the upcoming season.”

Bagley will return for the 13th consecutive season as the play-by-play Voice of the Cougars.  He said, “It is an honor and privilege to be the Voice of the Cougars on Friday nights.  We have seen a lot of exciting moments over the past 12 seasons.  I am anxiously awaiting the kickoff of my 13th season in this role.”

The main station for the broadcast will be KCLT-FM 104.9 in Helena-West Helena.  The games are often simulcast on KAKJ-FM 105.3 in Marianna and WNEV-FM 98.7 in Clarksdale/Friars Point.  The games can also be heard around the world online via www.force3radio.com.

Bagley thinks the Cougars will be competitive and an exciting team to watch and hopes to see large crowds at Cad Polk Stadium, which will host six home games during this year’s varsity campaign.  Bagley said, “We are a much younger team this year and don’t have as many big guys up front as a year ago.  But the team has heart, considerable speed, and some explosive talent at the skill positions.  I think we will put an exciting brand of football on the field.”
