CHS Juniors Accepted to Arkansas Governor’s School 2016

This year Central High School has two juniors (rising seniors) who have been accepted to Arkansas Governor’s School. Ms. Destiny Chamblis was accepted into the Visual Arts field and Mr. Jaquez Collins was accepted to the English/Language Arts field. Congratulations to both students and we look forward to hearing about your summer experience at Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas.

The Arkansas Governor’s School is a six-week summer residential program for gifted and talented students who are upcoming high school seniors and residents of the state of Arkansas. The program is funded by the Arkansas State Legislature as a portion of the biennial appropriation for Gifted and Talented Programs through the State Department of Education. State funds provide tuition, room, board, and instructional materials for each student who attends the six-week program on the site of a residential college campus (Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas), leased by the State.
